Scondoo offers a free iOS and Android app that helps users discover deals and buy products. Users can photograph receipts to receive a credit from the brand offering the sale item, with no involvement by supermarkets. Partner brands include Nestle, Johnson & Johnson and Carlsberg. Founded in October 2012 by Nikolaus Hilgenfeldt, David Keuler and Sebastian Kurt, the company is based in Berlin. It raised under €1m in seed funding and intends to use the capital to continue to grow. The company previously received funding from Sixt e-ventures and CRES Internet and is hiring.
