Scringo offers an SDK for iOS and Android developers to add community-building tools — activity streams, in-app messaging and a customizable sidebar — with minimal code. After several months of closed beta, the platform launched broadly and includes a new Developer Zone dashboard that lets developers control the sidebar UI and push changes without app updates. The dashboard also offers an optional contextual app-discovery monetization feature. About 1,000 developers tested the service during beta and have published more than 250 apps using Scringo. Apps using Scringo’s social features saw average retention increase by almost 90% and average time spent in-app increase by nearly 100%. The SDK can be integrated in under two minutes, per the company, and messaging is used by many customers to solicit user feedback.
