Interana offers a fast, scalable event-based analytics platform with a visual, interactive interface that enables ad-hoc exploration of growth, retention, conversion and engagement metrics. The product stores and processes billions of event sequences (clickstreams, transactions, sensor data, etc.) and is benchmarked at up to 100 million rows per core per second using a proprietary time-and-user organized database that enables single-pass queries. Interana’s interface removes the need for complex ETL or query languages by providing a visual query builder and real-time dashboards that can be shared and drilled into. The solution can be deployed on-premises or in a private cloud and targets social, eCommerce, media, gaming, telecommunications and SaaS companies. Interana had been in private beta for six months with customers including Sony, Jive, Asana, Tinder and Orange Silicon Valley. The company completed an $8.2M Series A led by a group of venture investors, and is based in Menlo Park, CA.
