Overview
Seclore offers a Data-Centric Security Platform that enables organizations to discover, classify, protect, and track enterprise data both inside and outside their boundaries. The platform is open, automated, and browser-based, and is designed to integrate best-of-breed data-centric security solutions with existing enterprise systems. Seclore serves more than 2,000 companies and government organizations in 29 countries and counts big government and defense agencies plus over 500 global enterprises—including American Express, Applied Materials, ADM, Saudi Telecom, and the ICICI group—among its customers. The company says the funding will fast-track its journey to become the platform of choice for enterprise data protection and expand its global presence. Seclore positions its approach as shifting protection from infrastructure to protecting the data itself to address modern workplace and compliance risks. The announcement was issued from Milpitas, Calif. Seclore provides an enterprise digital rights management (EDRM) platform that lets organizations control file usage across environments, with dozens of pre-built connectors for EFSS, DLP, ECM, ERP and email. The solution automates protection as documents are downloaded, discovered, and shared to accelerate adoption and enable users to protect more files. Led by CEO Vishal Gupta, the company serves 400 customers across insurance, financial services, legal, telecom and manufacturing in 29 countries. Seclore is based in the US and India and was described as Santa Clara–based in coverage of the fundraise. The company intends to use the proceeds to continue to expand operations. Seclore Technology provides information security products focused on information rights management and secure outsourcing, enabling remote control of information and secure collaboration. Its core offerings target security, privacy and compliance for cloud computing, BYOD and external collaboration use cases. Customers deploy Seclore on-premise or via hosted pay-as-you-go services, with pricing largely based on number of users. The company started commercial operations in 2010 and has acquired more than three million users across over 300 enterprises, with presence in more than 15 countries. Seclore is already profitable and cash-flow positive for more than two years, and its revenues have grown almost fourfold in the last couple of years. The $6M Series A will be used primarily for global expansion and to expand the technology team; Seclore has around 80 employees with its development centre and headquarters in Mumbai and sales offices in Delhi, Bangalore, Singapore and London.
