The company will use new funding to expand the platform to cover new crop types and to support marketing, sales, and R&D in North America, LATAM, Ukraine, and APAC. SeeTree raised $17.5M in this Series C, bringing its total capital raised to $60M. The company maintains operations in Brazil, the USA, Mexico, and South Africa and has a development center in Ukraine. SeeTree offers an AI-driven platform that collects ultra-high-resolution drone and multi-spectral imagery, tree and soil samples, and analyzes them with machine-learning to deliver tree health, pest/disease tracking and personalized cultivation plans. The company started with citrus and services the largest citrus growers globally, and is expanding its offerings into almonds, olives and hazelnuts where it is already deployed. SeeTree operates in Brazil, the United States, Chile and South Africa, with headquarters in Tel Aviv and offices in California and Brazil, and employs about 120 professionals. It currently monitors over 50 million trees and plans to scale that to 1 billion trees by 2023. The company says its standalone solution can reduce operational expenses by 20–40% and that integrations with tractors and irrigation systems can unlock further optimizations. The Series B proceeds will be used to scale globally and to grow R&D and customer-facing teams while broadening services to new crops. SeeTree was founded in September 2017 by former intelligence officers and serial entrepreneurs. SeeTree uses drone imagery and proprietary machine-learning algorithms to provide granular per-tree data and actionable recommendations for permanent-crop growers. The product enables farmers to identify underperforming trees, map selective-harvest plans based on fruit size and development stage, and correlate tree-level data with irrigation and fertilization infrastructure to assess ROI. The company positions its offering as a replacement for intuition and limited manual testing, aiming to connect farm actions to measurable field results. SeeTree’s leadership argues past drone-based precision-agriculture efforts fell short for permanent crops and that a more holistic farm-level view is required. The startup is Tel Aviv-based and also maintains offices in California and Brazil. SeeTree was founded by Israel Talpaz, Barak Hachamov and Guy Morgenstern and has raised a total of $15 million to date.
