Overview

Sellpy operates a digital marketplace and logistics service for second-hand fashion, allowing users to ship unwanted garments to the company, which photographs, lists, and sells the items online. The company, founded in 2014 by Michael Arnör (now CEO), Oskar Nielsen and Philip Gunnstam, targets the fast-growing pre-loved apparel segment where 71 % of Swedish second-hand clothing sales already occur online. Backed by fashion giant H&M since 2015, Sellpy recorded a record 2024 net revenue of just under SEK 1.6 billion, up from roughly SEK 1.2 billion in 2023. Despite the top-line growth, 2024 EBITDA came in at –SEK 65 million. Management frames continued capital injections from H&M as support for “continued growth,” indicating an ongoing expansion strategy. With H&M as majority shareholder since 2019, Sellpy benefits from both capital and potential operational synergies with the global retailer.
