Overview
Senisca is a University of Exeter spinout led by CEO Dr Sarah Cole that develops RNA-based senotherapeutics to reprogram aged, senescent cells. The company has proprietary technology that harnesses RNA biology and has identified RNA splicing dysregulation as a novel, druggable component of the cellular senescence response. Its programmes aim to attenuate senescence and positively impact markers of disease modification in patient-derived models across multiple pharmacological and skin health indications. Senisca is focused on preclinical development, with R&D activities directed toward IND data generation. The company intends to use recent funding to support continued evolution and the preclinical advancement of its senotherapeutic programmes.
