Sereact builds AI software models that give robots general-purpose visual perception and manipulation abilities, and it ships those models to run on a wide range of robot hardware. The company launched Cortex 2, an AI model that trains robots on different physical behaviors so they can select the action most likely to succeed. Sereact says it does not build robots or sell services, positioning its shipped model as the product that runs on single-arm, dual-arm, humanoid and fixed-cell robots. Its technology is deployed with customers including BMW, Daimler Truck, Bol and Active Ants, and real-world deployments generate a data flywheel that improves system performance. The company was founded in 2021, is based in Stuttgart, employs about 100 people, and is using new funding to further develop Cortex 2 and expand into the U.S., including a Boston office.
