Overview

Shipper operates a digitally managed network of fulfillment centers, delivery partners, and retail points to provide fulfillment and delivery services to thousands of e-commerce businesses. The company serves micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises across Indonesia and handles millions of items each month. Founded in 2017 by COO Budi Handoko and CEO Phil Opamuratawongse, Shipper has built a technology-driven logistics network centered on scale and digital integration. The business focuses on enabling e-commerce merchants with end-to-end fulfillment and last-mile delivery capabilities. Following the Series B, Shipper plans to further invest in its technology and expand its logistics network across Indonesia. Shipper offers a dashboard and multi-carrier API that help e-commerce sellers manage orders, print shipping labels, obtain tracking information, and coordinate courier pickups from their phones. Its platform provides recommendations on efficient logistics services, predicts optimal shipping routes, and consolidates packages headed in the same direction. Shipper claims around 2,500 logistics providers on its platform and about 25,000 online sellers as customers. The company targets building at least 1,000 micro-hubs and 20 logistics centres to facilitate pickups. It is gearing up for regional expansion into Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Shipper was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2019 batch. Founded in 2017 by Phil Opamuratawongse and Budi Handoko, Shipper builds a technology-driven logistics platform for Indonesia's fragmented e-commerce market. Its product combines courier pick-up services, micro-fulfillment hubs, and a technology stack that predicts routes, consolidates packages, and offers a multi-carrier API for label printing and tracking. The service is used by more than 25,000 online sellers and operates 10 fulfillment centers so far, including in Jakarta. Shipper signs up new couriers weekly to serve as neighborhood micro-hubs and spaces them to avoid competition. The company plans rapid expansion in Indonesia — targeting 1,000 micro-hubs within a year and 15–20 fulfillment centers — and later intends to enter other Southeast Asian markets such as Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. Recently raised capital will be directed toward hiring and customer acquisition as it scales operations.
