Shorta
16192 Coastal Hwy, Lewes, DE, 19958-3608, United States
Overview
Shorta was founded by Armando Bo, Tomás Escobar and Ariel Arrieta and blends premium cinematic storytelling with the agility of digital creators to produce vertical short-form series for mobile audiences. The startup has a 25-person core team and a creator ecosystem that reaches more than 25 million users on social media. Its hybrid business model mixes ad-supported free content (AVOD) with a premium subscription tier, and the company says it produces content at a fraction of the cost of larger streaming incumbents. Shorta has financed roughly 50 series in Argentina, with over 48 originals in production or completed, and targets launching more than 100 originals in its first year to keep a high release cadence. The company is headquartered with a creative hub in Buenos Aires and plans expansion into Mexico, Spain and Brazil, while preparing a Seed round in the US$5–10 million range and targeting over US$100 million in revenue as a long-term goal.
