Overview
Showpad provides a platform that centralizes sales collateral and uses usage data to surface the most effective materials, incorporating AI to recommend content for specific sales efforts. The company expanded its product set via the acquisition of LearnCore to add sales coaching and training capabilities. Showpad runs engineering and product from Ghent, Belgium, while go-to-market and professional services operate from Chicago. Management describes the product as the fourth pillar of the marketing and sales stack, complementing storage, CRM and marketing automation. The company plans to continue building services around its core sales enablement software, including training and coaching offerings. Showpad reports 90% year-over-year revenue growth. Showpad provides a sales enablement platform designed to help marketers maximize their impact on sales and enable sales teams to have more relevant conversations with customers and prospects. The company secured $25M in additional Series C funding and says it will use the proceeds to expand into new markets and continue product development. Insight Venture Partners made the investment. Showpad serves more than 1,000 companies worldwide, including Johnson & Johnson, Fujifilm, Audi, BASF, Dow Chemical and Kimberly‑Clark. Founded in 2011 and led by CEO Pieterjan Bouten and CPO and co‑founder Louis Jonckheere, the company is based in Ghent and Chicago and has additional offices in San Francisco, Portland and London. In 2017 Showpad launched its North American headquarters in Chicago and made several key executive hires to support its North American expansion. Showpad provides a mobile-first content activation platform that helps marketing teams deliver, showcase and track sales content used by field sales reps. The product enables reps to present up-to-date pitches on mobile devices while allowing marketers to see which content has the biggest impact on customer conversations. It pulls content from siloed storage services such as Box, Dropbox and Google Drive and positions itself as simpler than traditional file-sharing systems, portals and CRMs. The company recently announced integrations with Gmail and Salesforce to surface Showpad content in email and create contacts or leads without leaving the platform. Showpad says it has more than doubled revenue for the last four years, reported $4.5M in annual recurring revenue at its November 2014 Series B, and now serves over 850 customers. It cites customer outcomes including a 25% increase in sales rep productivity at Engi and more than 100,000 sales made via the platform to date. Showpad offers a cloud platform with mobile, tablet and web apps that hosts sales and marketing content so reps have the right materials on hand when meeting prospects. Its functionality includes caching/offline access for road warriors, in-app push broadcasts to communicate with sales staff, and usage analytics so marketing can see what materials are used. The company says sales and marketing alignment in B2B is broken and aims to shorten sales cycles and accelerate deals by making content discovery and version control easier. Showpad reports $4.5 million in annual recurring revenue and expects to exceed $10 million ARR in 2015. It claims more than 500 customers, including iXerox, Intel, Schneider, Wyndham, and Audi. The company plans to accelerate its product roadmap and invest more in sales and marketing as it expands growth in the U.S. and Europe, including opening a London office. Showpad provides a mobile sales enablement solution consisting of an iPad application and an online platform for marketing and sales teams. The iPad app lets users present content, optimize the sales talk, capture customer data and create quotes. The online platform controls content distribution, user management and the design of the iPad application. The company was founded by Louis Jonckheere and Pieterjan Bouten and is based in Ghent, Belgium. Showpad raised €1.5M in funding to support its growth. The company intends to use the capital to expand sales and marketing efforts and to open an office in New York City.
