Overview
Simulanis builds AR/VR and computer-based skilling programmes and work-environment simulations for engineering students and employees in industries such as auto, oil and gas, railways, FMCG and pharmaceuticals. Founded in 2013 and based in Delhi, the company moved from computer-based modules to incorporating virtual and augmented reality in 2015. It has started operations in the United Kingdom via a subsidiary and posted revenues of Rs 62 lakh in FY 2016-17. CEO Raman Talwar has said he plans to raise around a couple of million dollars in a Series A to expand the company's offering to a platform level and enhance its products. The company received a $500,000 pre-Series A from Education Catalyst Fund; Education Catalyst's director said Simulanis faces little competition in the Indian market and offers innovative products. Earlier it raised an undisclosed pre-Series A from Village Capital and a consortium of investors including industry executives.
