Overview

Site 1001 provides a cloud-based, mobile-first, location-aware facilities management platform that combines core building information, building systems and sensor data with a machine learning engine to deliver detailed operations and maintenance information. The platform surfaces data on every component of a building, from major mechanical and electrical systems down to finishes, to help owners, operators and facilities managers improve performance. The company’s building AI, “Carl,” is a focal point of its product roadmap and the firm plans to enhance it to automate and prioritize facilities maintenance tasks currently handled manually. Site 1001 said it will use the new funding to accelerate engineering and research and development as well as expand sales and implementation teams. Founded in August 2016 as a technology spin‑out from JE Dunn Construction Company and led by CEO Cleve Adams, the company operates sales offices in Southern California and Raleigh, North Carolina, and runs an R&D lab in Bend, Oregon. The recent financing increased the company’s Series A to $11M in total. Site 1001 provides a cloud-based software platform that digitizes, simplifies and automates facilities management and maintenance. Users scan a quick code with the app to pull up detailed facilities and asset information, from structural and mechanical drawings to carpet and light bulb types. The app can create task lists, log service, issue work orders, and integrate with building automation systems and smart building gateways to adjust building controls. Led by Cleve Adams (CEO) and Eric Hall (CTO), the company will use the funds to build its engineering team and develop sales and marketing. Site 1001 raised $5m in a Series A round led by JE Dunn with participation from Flyover Capital, Tifec and Ward Ventures. The company is based in Kansas City, MO.
