Sixfold Bioscience develops the Mergo® RNA therapeutics delivery platform, combining computational screening, high-throughput chemistry, and iterative testing to identify biocompatible building blocks that target selected cell types. The platform is focused on short interfering RNA for gene silencing and messenger RNA for gene expression. Mergo’s modular building-block approach aims to modulate pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics to expand RNA therapeutics beyond the liver and local administration. The company leads a series of collaborations on RNA therapeutics and has received non-dilutive support tied to that work. Sixfold was founded in 2017 by Dr George Foot and Dr Perdrix Rosell and operates from London. The recent financing will support continued R&D and expansion of the platform across several therapeutic indications.
