SkinBit
San Francisco, California, United States, North America
Overview
SkinBit combines a twenty-minute proprietary full-body imaging scanner with a longitudinal data platform that gives patients a persistent record of their skin. The company places its scanning systems inside med spas, longevity clinics, and dermatology practices and routes concerning cases to dermatologists with a data-backed baseline. Founded in 2023 by melanoma survivor Jonathan Benassaya, SkinBit has assembled a clinical leadership team including co-founder and medical advisor Dr. Justin Ko and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sancy Leachman, and counts nine board-certified dermatologists as investors. The startup has raised $6M in pre-seed funding and reports a waitlist of more than 5,000 people with zero paid marketing to date. Operational plans include three locations live in 2026, fifteen by the end of 2027, and an expanding pipeline of partner sites while it builds a compounding clinical dataset.
