Smart Farm Robotix develops a fully solar-powered weeding robot that uses cameras, positional sensors and AI for weed detection and autonomous navigation, deploying both contact and contactless weed-control methods. The company targets organic herb producers and terrains in Southern Europe that are underserved by existing robots. Founded in 2022, its first two prototypes were developed with founders’ funding and support from the PARA incubator. Smart Farm Robotix plans to expand its technology to collect soil-quality, pest, pathogen and biodiversity data. It expects large-scale field tests in spring on two Bulgarian farms and an organic nursery in Italy. The company is accelerating R&D and intends to hire additional engineers, AI specialists and agri-tech sales support.
