Smobler Studios specializes in multimedia creative ideation, design thinking, storyboarding, 3D, graphic and technical design, animation, video production and metaverse development. The studio was founded by Dr Loretta Chen and Ruel Sarmiento, combining creative direction, media and academic experience with art, gaming and trained architecture. Headquartered in Singapore with offices in Canada, the USA and Bhutan, Smobler has already onboarded clients including The Food Bank Singapore and Aventis Graduate School. The company closed a USD$1.2m seed funding round to scale operations and form joint ventures to create voxel art and gamemaker academies to train virtual architects and metaverse designers. Smobler plans to use the funding to expand its reach into Asia, Latin America, Canada and the USA.
