Social Cooling's core product, Terra Breeze, is a plug-and-play climate device that stores heat inside a patented thermal energy storage system using a phase-change material rather than expelling it. The device requires no exhaust hose or installation and the startup says it can cut power consumption by about 40% versus conventional air conditioners. The company is currently in a development and optimization phase, iterating hardware to balance production cost, efficiency, and quality. The new €400,000 investment will be used primarily for product optimization and to fund multiple iteration rounds toward a market-ready MVP. Social Cooling plans a software launch next year to add occupancy detection so stored heat is released only when appropriate, and aims to bring a first market offering to direct customers at a planned September launch. Early pilots are already running with partners including the Rewe Group in Cologne, the City of Vienna, Energie Steiermark, and two municipalities in Luxembourg.
