SOLVE Chemistry
Scale Space, Wood Lane, London, England, W12 7RZ, United Kingdom
Overview
SOLVE Chemistry is a London-based Imperial College spin-out that has built a self-driving laboratory combining proprietary ultra-high-throughput reaction screening hardware with machine-learning models that predict optimal production routes. The platform captures reaction data around 20× faster than conventional high-throughput experimentation, giving customers rapid insight into how to manufacture new chemicals. Its target users are pharmaceutical, agrochemical and specialty-chemical manufacturers that need to accelerate time-to-market while reducing development costs and environmental impact. The company already counts BASF and several multinational pharma companies among its early partners and has begun generating both revenue and grant income. Founded by Dr Linden Schrecker and Dr Jose Pablo Folch, the team has grown quickly since spinning out of Imperial in April 2024 and operates from Scale Space in London. Fresh funding will allow the startup to quadruple production capacity, grow headcount, and extend the platform’s capabilities for scale-up chemistry. No explicit revenue or user numbers were disclosed in the articles.
