Sotira

San Francisco, CA, United States

Overview

Sotira leverages AI to match brands’ surplus inventory with verified brick-and-mortar buyers, automating compliance, transactions, and logistics so suppliers are paid upon pickup. The platform supports suppliers and vetted buyers across the United States and handles millions of pounds of surplus grocery, health and wellness, and cosmetics goods. Sotira charges suppliers a monthly fee for access and takes a percentage of revenue from each transaction. The company aims to clear surplus within days of receiving inventory data, replacing a manual, pen-and-paper liquidation process. Founders Amrita Bhasin and Gary Kwong built the business after operating liquidation ventures and exhibited Sotira at TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield 2024. Sotira plans to expand operations nationally, specifically into the Midwest and Southeast, and intends to move into apparel in the future.
