Space Ape Games is a London-based mobile games developer founded in 2012. The studio is the developer behind Samurai Siege, which has generated over $20m in aggregate revenue and more than 10 million downloads since launching just over a year ago. It also launched Rival Kingdoms: Age of Ruin, which was open for pre-registration at the time of the article. The company raised $7M in a recent funding round and has raised $11M to date. It intends to use the funds to increase marketing capabilities and accelerate hiring, targeting 30–40 new hires over the next six months. Founders include John Earner (CEO), Toby Moore (CTO) and Simon Hade (CFO/COO); the company has added board and advisory hires following the round.
