Its protocol and first application, Spaceport Core, provide a streamlined one-stop-shop licensing infrastructure and a universal licensing catalog aimed at improving deal velocity and exposing IP to the metaverse vertical. The team combines traditional licensing expertise with Web3-native capabilities and targets the existing $300B licensing market with ambition to expand it into a multi-trillion dollar market. Founded by Le Zhang and Lida Tang, the company has already granted private access to products through partnerships with media, gaming, and consumer goods companies. Spaceport plans to use the funds to hire talent, deepen partnerships with notable IP holders and build toward a public product launch. The company announced a $3.6M pre-seed round to support those plans.
