Specter Aerospace (formerly FGC Plasma Solutions) develops propulsion technologies based on a patented Plasma-Assisted Combustion platform that uses plasma injection to stabilize combustion in high-output hypersonic, jet, and rocket engines. The platform was developed with support from Argonne National Laboratory and aims to reduce emissions and fuel consumption across commercial applications. Led by CEO Felipe Gomez del Campo, the company is working with the Department of Defense and commercial clients to deploy the technology in early 2024. Specter intends to use the funds to develop and implement its technologies in both new and existing engines.
