  Continuum Space Systems offers a unified, cloud-based platform that supports the entire life cycle of a space mission from “concept-to-completion.” Its suite includes simulations for spacecraft design, deployment, operations, and performance analysis and is positioned for single-satellite missions or constellations. The company builds on technology licensed from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and nearly all employees are former JPL staff; Continuum is not formally affiliated with JPL. Continuum has commercial and government customers including Radian Aerospace, Accion Systems, and the U.S. Space Force. The two-year-old company is focused on simplifying complex mission workflows and information silos so teams can plan, design, and test more effectively. Financially, Continuum recently announced additional funding to expand its product and go-to-market efforts.

  Specter Aerospace (formerly FGC Plasma Solutions) develops propulsion technologies based on a patented Plasma-Assisted Combustion platform that uses plasma injection to stabilize combustion in high-output hypersonic, jet, and rocket engines. The platform was developed with support from Argonne National Laboratory and aims to reduce emissions and fuel consumption across commercial applications. Led by CEO Felipe Gomez del Campo, the company is working with the Department of Defense and commercial clients to deploy the technology in early 2024. Specter intends to use the funds to develop and implement its technologies in both new and existing engines. The company is based in Middleton, MA and focuses on connecting and protecting systems at hypersonic speeds while delivering fuel savings.
