Overview

Spinach.io offers a meeting product designed specifically to run daily stand-ups for engineering teams following the Scrum/Agile process, automating agenda, notes and status collection. The tool integrates with project management software like Jira and communications tools like Slack to pull previous-day goals, current-day goals and blockers. It is natively integrated in Zoom and can run via the web with Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. The company launched in private beta and has about 100 teams using the product, including teams at Wix, Fiverr and Rappi. Spinach.io completed Y Combinator’s Winter 2022 cohort, operates as a remote-first team of nine employees, and plans additional integrations with ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Figma, Notion and GitHub. The startup announced a $6 million seed to support product development and growth and to expand beyond daily stand-ups to other engineering meeting types. Spinach offers an app that choreographs daily stand-ups for distributed teams by running the agenda, capturing action items, and sharing them through the right channels. The product is now available in private beta. Led by CEO and co-founder Matan Talmi, the company is a Zoom partner based in Atlanta, GA. Spinach intends to use its new funding to launch full access to the app, expand the engineering team, and bring the product to market. The focus is on boosting productivity of remote teams' virtual stand-up meetings.
