Spinelab is a Winterthur, Switzerland-based developer of motion-preserving stabilization systems for the spine. Its core product is Elaspine™, a pedicle screw-based posterior motion preservation system for the thoracolumbar spine. The company intends to use new capital to initiate commercial activities in Europe and to complete development of its second core product. In May 2012 it raised CHF4.7M (approximately $4.9M) in a Series C financing. That round brought the total amount raised by the company to date to CHF20M. The company is led by President & CEO Thomas Zehnder and Chairman Gerard Moufflet.
