Overview
Spoke AI builds generative-AI productivity tools that aggregate inbound communications from third-party apps and produce concise, contextualized summaries to help information workers stay on top of distributed signals. Its starter product is described as a “workplace operating system” featuring a smart inbox that pulls data from tools such as Slack, Jira, GitHub, Miro, Figma and Notion and layers AI-generated summaries. The company also offers a Slack plug-in and a browser plug-in framing an intelligent search or “Generative Knowledge Base” to return summarized answers rather than links. Spoke AI is in beta with around 20 testers and reports a wait-list of over 500 companies, with early interest from SMEs (roughly 10–250 staff) and plans to pilot features with larger enterprises. The stack uses a blend of fine-tuned pre-trained models (e.g., Luminous, GPT-3.5), self-hosted open-source models (e.g., GPT-J, BLOOM), technologies from Microsoft and Stanford, and custom models for NER, PII detection and pseudonymization. The startup emphasizes data privacy, anonymization, feedback loops and transparency (showing the inputs behind summaries) as differentiators and is exploring monetization via SaaS tiering, anonymization-as-a-service and APIs for summarization.
