mkind develops AI-native robotic work cells intended to automate variable industrial tasks such as surface finishing, welding and coating. Its system is designed to learn new parts in minutes without requiring code, targeting processes that have been difficult to automate due to variability and manual labor reliance. The company aims to provide flexible robotics for high-mix production environments where manufacturers face labor shortages. The €3 million pre-seed funding will support early-stage development of mkind’s flexible robotics platform. The startup is headquartered in Munich and is positioning its technology to help European manufacturers increase automation in complex production workflows.

Founded in 2025 by Philipp Engelkamp and Andrew Welling, Telura is building an electric-impulse drilling system that fractures rock with high-voltage pulses rather than mechanical grinding. This approach promises to cut drilling time and costs, addressing the primary bottleneck—drill-bit wear—when accessing 5–20 km-deep geothermal reservoirs. The technology stems from more than twenty years of research at leading German technical universities and has already demonstrated efficient granite breakage in tests. Telura’s system integrates with existing drilling rigs, allowing for faster field deployment and compatibility with current industry workflows. The company plans to enter the market in 2026 and has a validation agreement with SPRIND to accelerate commercialization. Telura positions geothermal as a 24/7 baseload energy source critical for Europe’s looming power shortfall driven by AI and electrification. To date, the startup has secured €4 million in pre-Seed funding to advance engineering and scale its prototype toward field-ready systems.

Orbem has developed a proprietary MRI platform combined with artificial intelligence that can scan biological items in under one second without human intervention, allowing industrial-scale, non-invasive quality assessment. In the poultry sector, the system has already analyzed more than 170 million eggs, offering an alternative to chick culling and improving sustainability. The company is now broadening its “Vertical AI” capabilities to fruit and vegetable inspection, enabling producers to detect internal defects in items like avocados and mangoes without cutting them open. Beyond food, Orbem aims to ‘industrialize MRI’ for human healthcare and is assembling what it calls the world’s largest biological imaging dataset to unlock new medical insights. Fresh capital will support global expansion, with priority given to the U.S. market via a new Houston office, while continuing product development. Orbem claims to be the first—and so far only—company to demonstrate MRI at this speed and scale, positioning itself as a leader in fast, automated biological imaging.

Transition Metal Solutions is a mining-tech startup that creates low-cost, mostly inorganic additives designed to elevate entire microbial communities inside copper heap leaches rather than targeting single strains. In laboratory tests, its proprietary cocktail has lifted copper extraction to 90% versus the 60% achieved with conventional processes, and the team anticipates commercial recovery rates of 50-70% compared with today’s 30-60%. Each mine receives a tailored formulation following microbial assays, and the company aims to build predictive models that recommend treatments in advance. Management believes the technology can materially narrow the looming global copper supply gap by increasing output 20–30% from existing operations. Near-term plans include third-party validation by a respected metallurgy laboratory and a demonstration heap containing tens of thousands of tons of ore. The recently raised seed financing will fund these milestones and support further data collection to accelerate commercialization. The company has not yet disclosed revenue or customer figures.

Founded in 2022 by Cambridge-trained researchers Ben Woodington and Elise Jenkins, San Francisco–based Coherence Neuro decodes the body’s electrical patterns to understand and correct disease states. Its flagship device, SOMA-1, continually records neural activity and delivers precise stimulation, creating a bi-directional, closed-loop therapy that aims to nudge tumorous tissue back toward healthy function. Each deployed device feeds data into what the company calls the world’s largest disease-focused dataset, allowing the system to learn and improve with every patient. Coherence frames cancer as a system-level error rather than an external invader, seeking to replace aggressive treatments like surgery and chemotherapy with continuous, gentler neuromodulation. The company plans to begin first-in-human trials next year, using its newly secured capital to validate safety and efficacy. To date, it has raised a $10 million seed round to fund these efforts and further develop its data-driven platform.
