Overview

Stablix Therapeutics develops a first-in-category RESTORED platform that creates heterobifunctional small molecules (RESTORACS) to recruit deubiquitinase enzymes and remove ubiquitin from selected proteins, stabilizing and restoring their function. The approach is intended to enable target-selective modulation of the ubiquitin-proteasome system, potentially addressing diseases caused by insufficient protein levels. The company is initially focusing its pipeline on rare diseases, oncology, and immunological disorders. Stablix cites validation from natural viral DUB/E3 biology and from proteasome inhibitor studies supporting the therapeutic concept, while aiming to avoid the tolerability limits of global proteasome inhibition via target selectivity. The RESTORED platform combines a library of DUB-binding moieties with targeting ligands and cellular biochemical/functional assays to monitor ubiquitination and target function. Stablix has established a lab facility in New York City and is building a research team and scientific advisory board to advance programs toward the clinic.
