Overview

Stack is an Amsterdam-based startup founded in 2019 building a multiplayer spatial browser focused on mindful online experiences. The product abandons traditional tabs in favor of cards, stacks, rooms and spaces and uses shortcut-first navigation and spatial UX to organize apps, people and content. Collaboration is central to the product: Stack positions the browser as a collaboration hub and potential web OS to help teams increase productivity and reduce distractions. The company says its design gives users more agency and aims to substantially reduce notifications and focus loss. Stack raised $2.5 million to further develop the multiplayer browser, spatial design and shortcut-driven navigation. The founders are George Laliashvili and Dachi Gubadze. Stack develops a tabless browser platform branded as an "Internet OS" that aims to streamline web use and reduce distraction. Its radically different design is said to let users consume three times more information while remaining focused and productive. The project began as a side project in 2019 and is led by CEO and founder George Laliashvili. The product has attracted roughly 50,000 users to date. Stack plans to use new funding to expand its user base and to serve enterprise customers. The team recently moved from 500's regional program to its San Francisco flagship accelerator after joining 500Georgia.
