StackGen (formerly AppCD) provides an infrastructure-from-code service that infers required cloud infrastructure from application source code. The platform autogenerates Terraform and Helm charts and applies the company’s "golden standards" to help enforce compliance with frameworks such as SOC2 and HIPAA. It also visualizes the generated infrastructure and offers a drag-and-drop interface for users to modify or add resources. Today the product supports AWS and Azure, with Google Cloud support planned in the future. CEO Sachin Aggarwal is a serial entrepreneur whose prior companies were acquired (including Qualys, Omega Healthcare and Tenable), and his last startup Accurics informed StackGen’s focus on shifting security left. The company has early traction with a Dev Edition and recently closed a $12.3M seed round.
