Its solution automates KYC functions and has been adopted by major Nordic banks and payment services. Customers such as Nordea, Handelsbanken and Vipps MobilePay report a 90% reduction in diligence time and a 30% cost saving after implementing the system. The company says its platform helps AML and compliance teams work faster, detect crime more accurately, and stay compliant. Strise plans to expand internationally, with the UK as the next market and EY signed to an early access programme, and will grow its customer base across financial, insurance, legal and other industries. The company recently completed a new funding round to support that expansion. Strise is a Norwegian know‑your‑customer (KYC) intelligence platform that automates KYC functions for banks and fintechs. Its technology connects information about companies and persons to deliver AI‑driven insights used to screen, onboard, and provide ongoing customer monitoring. The company says its approach operates at 100x the speed of traditional methods. Strise plans to expand its European marketplace presence and roll out "Strise Global", a product for counterparty due diligence and global sanctions checks launching on the 9th of November. Launched in 2020, Strise counts Nordea, Danske Bank and the SpareBank1 Alliance among its customers. The company recently completed a €3.3 million raise to support these plans. Strise has built an enterprise data platform aimed at financial institutions, with a user‑facing design intended for end users rather than developers or data scientists. The platform is used by some of Scandinavia’s major banks, including Sparebank1 SMN and BN Bank, for anti‑money laundering, credit risk and sales workflows. Founded in 2016 by Marit Rødevand, Sigve Søråsen, and Patrick Skjennum, the company is based in Trondheim and Oslo and has also established a US headquarters in Palo Alto. The team currently numbers 17 people. Strise says it will use the €1.4 million seed funding to expand across Norway and begin international expansion. CEO Marit Rødevand frames the product as augmenting users’ work with new data insights rather than replacing people.
