Supabase is an open source Postgres development platform founded in 2020 that offers a complete backend stack: Postgres database, authentication, storage, edge functions, real-time subscriptions, and vector search, plus a marketplace of 100+ integrated partner tools. The company reports more than 250,000 customers and over 9 million developers using the platform, with its user base having more than doubled since the Series E and a 600% year-over-year increase in databases. Supabase for Platforms, the product powering many AI app builders, has seen 370% customer growth in the past six months, and the company says agents now deploy the majority of databases on its platform. Supabase released a preview of Multigres, an open source horizontal scaling layer for Postgres under the Apache 2.0 license, to address scaling and sharding needs. Financially, the company has raised over $1 billion in total capital after closing a $500 million Series F at a $10.5 billion post-money valuation.
