The company emphasizes eco-friendly, parent-led product design and is run by a core team of parents, 90% of whom are mothers. It claims to serve 20 lakh parents as its customers. SuperBottoms plans to expand its product categories and grow its offline and physical retail presence to connect with customers directly. The company aims to spread awareness about cloth diapering nationwide and broaden its portfolio to appeal to a wider audience. Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has joined as a brand ambassador and investor, supporting its consumer-facing growth efforts. Superbottoms produces sustainable, 100% reusable cloth diapers that can be washed and reused more than 250 times, aimed at baby skin conditions common in South Asia and nearby regions. The company says its diapers are 75% less expensive than disposable diapers on a lifecycle-cost basis. Superbottoms is led by founder Pallavi Utagi and managed by an all-mothers team; Utagi built the business drawing on more than seven years of experience at Piramal Healthcare and Sanofi plus baby-care research. The brand is the first Indian brand to obtain a safety certificate according to stringent US standards, according to the company. The startup plans to use the latest funding to increase product lines, create awareness about cloth diapers, and expand its distribution network to reach more women and children. Venture Catalysts has provided funding to support those growth plans.
