Launched in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, Symbo operates an insurtech platform serving agents, TPAs, brokerages, corporations and insurers. The platform claims more than 80,000 agents, 45 tech licensing partners and supports over $100 million in annual gross written premium across India, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Symbo recently acquired Singapore digital health platform Vivant to add a comprehensive digital health offering to its product suite. With the new funding, the company plans to enhance its core technology stack and scale its product offerings across India and Southeast Asia. Hiring priorities include senior technology and product roles as well as senior business development hires for offices in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Proceeds will also be directed to Symbo’s Indian affiliate with the goal of acquiring full ownership of that business, subject to customary regulatory clearance.
