Symbo Platform Holdings is an insurtech technology platform supporting agents, TPAs, brokers, corporates and insurers in the purchase, distribution and administration of life and general insurance across India and Southeast Asia. The platform supports over USD 100 million in annual gross written premium and empowers over 80,000 agents and 45 technology licensing partners. In India the company partners with Symbo India Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd (SIIB), a composite insurance broker led by co-founder and CEO Anik Jain and regulated by the IRDAI, which works with roughly 50,000 point-of-sale agents. International clients include AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad and PMCare in Malaysia, as well as large customers in Indonesia. Symbo intends to use the funds to continue investing in its core technology and leadership team, with recruitment across technology and product functions and senior business development hires in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and its Indian affiliate. The company was incorporated in 2017.
