Tacombi is a limited-service restaurant brand and CPG company built around Mexican street-food culture, operating neighborhood taquerias that serve tacos, beer, cocktails and juices. The business sells branded packaged goods under Vista Hermosa (tortillas and chips) in roughly 800 stores, and proprietary Lupita juices and sodas in its taquerias. The company was launched as a taco stand in Mexico in 2006 by CEO Dario Wolos and has grown to 13 locations across New York, Miami and Washington D.C., with several more under development. Tacombi plans to scale an omni-channel platform, expand its taqueria footprint across multiple restaurant formats, accelerate its CPG business and launch into new categories. Over the next five years it aims to reach at least 75 taquerias while rolling out CPG products to more U.S. retailers and integrating technology to improve efficiencies and experiences. Tacombi also operates The Tacombi Foundation, which prepares and distributes 4,000 meals per week to fight food insecurity.
