Overview
Tangible's platform helps sustainability and development managers find low-carbon materials drawn primarily from global environmental product declarations that the company says are third-party verified. Users can add materials to projects, aggregate impacts across projects, and share results with customers and investors to demonstrate changes on the ground. The company has co-developed the product with a select group of customers and plans a full launch later this year, with a target expansion into the North American market. Its long-term vision is a full-stack platform for sustainable construction that will let users track projects, view case studies, order more sustainable materials and provide tools to decarbonize the industry. Tangible raised a $3 million seed round and has now raised $4 million in total, all equity; the company declined to comment on valuation. Founders Anneli Tostar and Nicole Granath started the company to address embodied carbon from upfront construction, which they say can equal up to 10 years of a building's operating emissions.
