Tanvas, previously known as Tangible Haptics, is a Chicago, Illinois-based company that aims to transform the touchscreen into a full sensory experience. The company has developed patented technologies that combine multi-touch position sensing with control of the friction forces acting on fingertips as they slide across the screen. Advanced algorithms modulate those forces so users perceive tangible interaction with three-dimensional objects on display devices.
