- Pila Energy
Led · Seed · Oct 2025
Pila Energy is developing distributed, plug-in batteries that can be connected throughout a residence or commercial building to create a mesh network for backup power and real-time energy optimization. Each battery integrates with everyday appliances, allowing users to manage energy costs and maintain power during outages through Pila’s grid-aware software platform. The units are currently available for pre-order at $99 and will retail for $1,299, with first shipments expected in late 2025. With its software-hardware combination, the company aims to lower the friction of residential energy storage and enable wider adoption of decentralized power management. Recent seed financing will fund the U.S. product launch, expand manufacturing capacity, and deepen strategic partnerships. Although revenue and user numbers have not yet been disclosed, the $4 million injection positions Pila to move from pre-order to full commercial deployment.
- Vector
Participated · Series A · Sep 2025
Vector, headquartered in Bluffdale, Utah, designs and produces low-cost, attritable small unmanned aerial systems tailored to modern combat needs. Its flagship product, the Vector Hammer, combines deep-sensing reconnaissance with strike capability, featuring a gimbaled camera, 20-kilometer detection range, and fiber-optic integration for anti-jamming resilience. Founded by former special operations personnel and defense technologists, the company emphasizes operator-driven design and rapid, domestic manufacturing to ensure secure supply chains. Vector’s Utah facility is geared for industrial-scale output, enabling tens of thousands of units to be fielded quickly. Beyond hardware, the firm offers CUAS-as-a-service and sensor-integration services, keeping deployed systems adaptable to evolving threats. With fresh capital and prior venture backing, Vector is scaling inventory and production capacity to meet growing demand from U.S. defense and law-enforcement agencies.
- Soil Action
Led · Seed · Aug 2025
Soil Action provides a platform that combines near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) with proprietary machine learning models to detect the form and availability of soil nutrients in real time. Its system reads soil as a tractor moves, processes the data on the fly, and builds layered maps of nutrient dynamics without a lab. The company plans to expand field trials with farmers across key U.S. row crop regions and pursue grower collaboration to validate agronomic impact. It intends to accelerate model development and validation while scaling field deployment and engineering teams. Soil Action also plans partnerships with OEMs, input providers, and agronomic platforms to integrate its sensing and modeling capabilities. The company is led by CEO Nate Storey and recently completed a seed financing to support these initiatives.
- Moddule
Participated · Seed · May 2025
Moddule offers supply-chain software that sits on top of any logistics management stack, integrating transportation, freight, warehouse, and e-commerce systems so providers and their customers can track shipments, manage orders, and view global inventory in one place. The Seattle-based startup’s carrier-agnostic approach eliminates data silos and costly inefficiencies for logistics service providers of all sizes. Since September 2024, Moddule’s revenue has expanded 6×, and customers often see contract values rise up to 11× within three to six months of adoption—metrics that highlight strong product-market fit. The founders—CEO Hans Elmegaard, Head of Customer Success Kasper Hansen, and Head of Sales Ben Jones—bring more than 50 years of combined logistics experience to the venture. With fresh capital, the company plans to streamline onboarding, deepen user customization, and embed AI-powered integrations while scaling its customer success and sales functions. These initiatives aim to broaden Moddule’s footprint and solidify its position in the $23 billion supply-chain management market.
- Hexium
Participated · Seed · Apr 2025
Hexium is building a laser-powered process to separate lithium-6 from lithium-7 using an adapted atomic vapor laser isotope separation (AVLIS) technique. The company was founded by Charlie Jerrott and Jacob Peterson after they identified a shortage in fusion fuel supply chains and had been operating in stealth. Hexium’s system uses picometer-precise, relatively low-power lasers to ionize lithium-6 in vapor clouds, draw the ions to charged plates, condense them, and package the isotope for sale. Hexium plans to sell lithium-6 to fusion companies for tritium breeding and reactor shielding, while selling the remaining lithium-7 to conventional nuclear operators as a cooling-water additive. Over the coming year the company will use its seed funding to build and run a pilot plant and, if successful, replicate the design modularly to produce tens to hundreds of kilograms of lithium-6. The team emphasizes small-footprint facilities that can be parallelized to achieve economics at modest scales.
