Telly operates a socially-driven video network and on-demand film service that enables social discovery and recommendation of Hollywood and other video content on mobile devices and PCs. The company recently acquired Sha-Sha Entertainment to bring Hollywood and Arabic movies and TV shows to 22 countries across the Arab world, and is partnering with Sha-Sha’s team to engage major studios. Telly says it serves a rapidly growing community of more than 11 million members and delivers over 100 million monthly video views, a 10x increase since January. The company plans to use the new funding to open an office in Dubai, expand product offerings, and hire additional staff. Leadership includes Founder and CEO Mo Al Adham, working with partner Mohammad El Saadi and the Sha-Sha team. Telly aims to compete with regional services and larger entrants by offering superior distribution technology and localized content. Twitvid provides a service that enables users to share videos on Twitter in simple steps. The company launched in May 2009 and is led by CEO Mo Al Adham. It offers mobile applications for Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry. Well-known users include Justin Bieber, Tyra Banks, LeBron James, Paramount Pictures, Kevin Hart, A&E TV, the New York Yankees, Al Gore, and Style.com. Twitvid intends to use the new funding to expand the team and build out its product and technology infrastructure. The company recently raised $6.5M in a Series B round.
