TerraSpark is developing a phased approach to space-based solar power, starting with commercialisation of radio-frequency wireless energy transmission on Earth to validate safety, efficiency, and regulatory requirements. The company aims to scale from terrestrial wireless power for industrial use to orbital systems capable of delivering continuous energy independent of weather or time of day. TerraSpark cites declining launch costs and advances in satellite manufacturing and orbital robotics as enablers for its roadmap. Near-term plans include pilot applications and live demonstration use cases, an orbital technology demonstrator targeted for 2027, and initial space-to-Earth transmission in 2028. The team is led by CEO Jasper Deprez with CTO Sanjay Vijendran and COO Matthias Laug. Financially, the company has raised over €5 million in a pre-seed round to fund technology development and upcoming pilots.
