Terrestrial Bio (formerly Vaxess Technologies) is advancing a proprietary microarray patch (MAP) and preloaded applicator platform that applies a patch resembling an adhesive bandage and releases bioactive tips into the skin which dissolve and rapidly deliver their payload. The MAP platform is designed for self-administration, is temperature-stable, and eliminates the need for medical sharps or refrigeration. The company positions the technology for precise, controlled delivery of a wide range of therapeutics. Terrestrial is led by CEO Rachel Sha and is based in Woburn, MA. To support late-stage clinical development and early commercial entry, the company signed a lease for a more than 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at Allston Labworks and plans to incorporate automation, robotics, computer vision, and quality-control processes during buildout beginning in 2026.
