Legislate provides patented knowledge graph technology that gives companies access to ontologies of legal terms. Its platform makes contracts machine-readable, enabling business users to semantically search, compare, create, query, and sign contracts without outside legal involvement. Customers primarily use Legislate for employment, consultancy, internal contracts, and terms of business agreements. In 2022 the company was granted a second US patent for semantic document generation, further enhancing its technology. Led by founder and CEO Charles Brecque, Legislate had focused on building a solution for startups and scaleups.
