The Fabricant is an Amsterdam-based decentralized digital fashion house that creates digital couture NFT collectibles and collaborations with fashion and gaming brands. Founded in 2018, it operates The Fabricant Studio, an NFT platform that enables creators to design, mint and trade metaverse-native garments. The company positions itself as building the “wardrobe of the metaverse” and aims to let anyone become a digital fashion creator and participate in a new digital fashion economy. It has partnered with brands including Adidas, Under Armour, Off-White, Napapijri, Puma, Peak Performance and World of Women, and platforms such as Epic Games and The Sandbox. The Fabricant projects that by 2025 some 100M people will be metaverse-ready by wearing digital garments minted in its studio. The firm says it will use the new funding to further develop The Fabricant Studio and expand creator participation and interoperability in digital fashion.
