The Gilman Brothers Company, established in 1897 and based in Gilman, Conn., manufactures foamboard products for signage, displays and graphics for multinational enterprises. The company recently introduced reengineered products including Duraplast®, which offers dimensional stability, a flat surface for direct printing and the ability to be shaped into components for exhibits and displays. It also launched Ryno Board®, a heavy-duty foamboard with double-thick surface liners and high-density foam, and Mountcor®, an innovative new foamboard. Led by CEO Evan Gilman, the company serves multinational clients. The business received a $4.5M financing package and intends to use the proceeds to expand its operations.
