The Lakes Distillery is a producer of premium spirits — including The Lakes Gin, The Lakes Vodka and The ONE British Isles Blended Whisky — based in the Lake District National Park. The distillery opened in 2014 and positions itself as England’s largest whisky distillery. It reports producing the equivalent of over 600,000 bottles of whisky spirit (estimated £30m retail value) while also selling more than 160,000 bottles of premium gin, vodka and blended whisky and over 175,000 bottles since 2015. The site receives more than 100,000 visitors annually and has been voted one of the top five best new distilleries in the world by Time Out USA. The company is using proceeds from its current funding campaign to continue the distillery’s expansion. Its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube is live and scheduled to close at the beginning of December.
