The ONE Music Group, founded in 2013 by Ben Ye and based in San Francisco, manufactures digital musical instruments that combine traditional keyboards with app-based learning. Its flagship product, The ONE Smart Piano, is the first and only Apple MFi-certified smart piano and pairs a full-sized piano with a dedicated iOS app; The ONE Light is a portable 61-key backlit keyboard offering similar features. The Smart Piano retails for $1,499 and The ONE Light for $299. The company has sold more than 50,000 pianos worldwide across users of all ages and skill levels. Recently it closed a $10 million Series B to advance its music-education efforts. The funds will support The Piano Classroom Project, a program aimed at helping teachers serve more students affordably. World-renowned pianist Lang Lang has joined as a formal investor and supporter and will use The ONE Smart Piano as one of only two piano brands he endorses.
