The company is already backed by prominent investors including Giles Trotter, CRE Venture Capital and Yoni Arbel. It recently completed a Crowdcube crowdfunding round, beating its £150,000 target. Total crowdfunding on Crowdcube amounted to £323,686 from 119 investors and forms part of a wider round that had secured an additional £174,531. Timbuktu plans to use the funding to launch new destinations, enhance its technology, scale existing growth channels, and strengthen its team. The company says its digital-first approach and customization differentiate it from traditional travel agencies, online travel platforms, and niche itinerary services.
