Founded in 2024, Tingit has built a digital repair marketplace where users upload photos or videos of damaged items and receive instant, AI-generated quotes that have been verified by skilled craftspeople. The platform’s algorithm detects defects, identifies the appropriate specialist, and estimates price and turnaround time, while logistics are handled through automatically generated parcel-locker labels. Tingit positions itself as a “longevity protocol,” aiming to embed repair services into everyday commerce through partnerships with fashion brands and e-commerce platforms. In its first year, the company established operations in Lithuania and expanded into France, connecting a network of more than 100 makers across Lithuania, France, and Poland. Over 14,000 customers have already appraised items worth more than €9 million on the service, with handbag and sneaker restorations leading demand and growing traction in appliances, audio gear, eyewear, and luggage. The business is driven by both environmental goals—reducing overconsumption—and the emotional value users place on repairing cherished belongings. To date Tingit has secured €2.02 million in external funding, providing capital to scale its offering throughout the European Union.
